Terms of Service
The short version: Apollon is free. Only import code you have the right to share. You keep ownership of your code. AI output can be wrong, so check it before you rely on it. You can delete your account at any time.
Accepting these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Apollon, operated by Niko Tsiolas, a sole proprietor ("Apollon", "we", "us"). By using Apollon or creating an account, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Apollon.
Who can use Apollon
You must be at least 13 years old. In the EEA and the UK, if you are under 16 you need a parent's or guardian's consent. If you use Apollon for an organization, you confirm that you can accept these terms for it.
Your account
You can use Apollon without an account. If you create one, you sign in with GitHub, Google or a link sent to your email. Keep access to those accounts and your email secure, because anyone who can use them can use your Apollon account. You are responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us at nikotsiolasmisc@gmail.com if you think someone else is using it.
Acceptable use
When you use Apollon, you agree that you will:
- only paste or import code and repositories you have the right to share with us and with the AI providers listed in the Privacy Policy;
- not include passwords, keys or other people's personal data that you are not allowed to share;
- not abuse, attack, probe or try to break Apollon or its security, or get around usage limits;
- not scrape Apollon, access it with bots in bulk, or overload it;
- not use Apollon to break the law, infringe anyone's rights, or harm others.
Your content
You keep ownership of the code, repository content, questions and other material you give Apollon ("your content"). You give us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process your content only as needed to provide Apollon to you, including sending it to our processors as described in the Privacy Policy. This license ends when that processing is done. We do not claim ownership of your content or of the maps made from it.
AI output
Maps, explanations and answers in Apollon are generated with AI. They can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, even when they sound confident. They are not professional advice of any kind, including engineering, security or legal advice. Review AI output before you use it or make decisions with it. You are responsible for how you use it.
Architecture Lab is not a crisis service
Architecture Lab answers questions about software. It is not a crisis, mental health or medical service and cannot help in an emergency. If you are thinking about suicide or self-harm, in the US call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). Elsewhere, find a helpline at findahelpline.com. If you are in immediate danger, call your local emergency number.
Price
Apollon is free to use today. There are no subscriptions, no payments and no automatic renewals. Some features have usage limits, such as how many projects you can map without an account. If we offer paid plans later, we will show the price, how renewal works and how to cancel before you buy, and we will never charge you without your agreement.
Other services
Signing in with GitHub or Google, and importing repositories from GitHub, are also covered by those companies' own terms. We are not responsible for services we do not run.
Ending your use
You can stop using Apollon at any time, and delete your account at any time from the account menu. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or to protect Apollon or other people. Where reasonable, we will tell you first. We may also change or stop offering parts of Apollon. Sections that by their nature should continue after your use ends (such as your content, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law) continue.
Disclaimers
Apollon is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that Apollon will be accurate, uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose. Some places do not allow these exclusions, so they apply to you only as far as your local law allows. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Niko Tsiolas is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of Apollon. Our total liability for any claim about Apollon is limited to 100 US dollars. These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be decided by the state and federal courts located in New Jersey, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living outside the United States, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and can bring claims in your local courts.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the effective date at the top, and for significant changes we will tell signed-in users in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using Apollon after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms. If you do not agree, stop using Apollon and delete your account.
